Services & Amenities

Convenience, fellowship and peace of mind are big priorities at Chateau St. Michael’s. Residents enjoy many services for safe and enjoyable senior living, as well as a beautiful park-like setting.

10 acres of green space

Located in the scenic Wakamow Valley, Chateau is a historic building surrounded by manicured lawns and giant shade trees. Trails meandering through the grounds accommodate walkers, wheelchairs and visiting grandchildren. Seating areas provide tranquil vantage points to watch the white-tail deer graze and enjoy the beauty of nature.

Many places to gather

Chateau has many spacious common areas where residents can get together with friends, family and neighbours. The coziest gathering place is the library room, with large screen TV. Larger events are often hosted in the spacious activity room, which hosts a variety of functions all year round.

In summer, Chateau’s outdoor spaces are ideal for family gatherings, events and barbeques. The large screened-in patio is completely accessible and well-protected from wind and rain.

Entertainment, events and recreation

Chateau has a successful and active slate of recreational and social programs. Every day there is something interesting happening in the sunny, spacious activity room, from exercises, crafts, games, clubs, socials, entertainment and cognitive activities.

Chateau comes alive every holiday season with in-house socials and celebrations. Family and special events include Christmas Dinner, Mother’s Day Tea, Father’s Day Social and Carnival.

Chateau also organizes outings throughout the year from Twinkle Light Tour to taking a drive in the country or touring Moose Jaw.

Fitness and wellness

Fitness programs take place every weekday at 9:30 a.m. We use props like weights, different types of balls, bean bags, rings, frisbees, beach balls and balloons to make exercise exciting. During the summer months we take advantage of our beautiful grounds to play outdoor games like bocce ball, lawn darts, horseshoes, ladder ball and go for walks.

Weekly wellness services include weekly house calls by our house doctor and blood work clinics on site.

Medications and hygiene products can be ordered through the pharmacy and delivered to the resident.

With beautiful stained-glass windows and other heritage features, our chapel provides an inspiring setting for worship and contemplation. Scheduled services are held on certain days of the month.
